I make the kind of things I'd like to find. From small pendants and ornaments to large sculptures. I try to enhance the natural state of the stone, accentuate contours and highlight scars to create artefacts that defy time by being both old and new.

I only use simple hand tools and this enables me to work, literally, in the field, on the beach or by the river. My designs are inspired by Neolithic, Pictish and Celtic carvings, fascinating art of universal appeal about which so little is known.
